The U Kalendů restaurant and bakery has stood on the site of the former Podskalí riverside settlement since the beginning of the last century

Life here has always been associated with hard work, and that spirit endures. If we don’t make something ourselves, we simply don’t have it. We butcher, smoke, cure and preserve our own meat, bake our own bread, and serve honest, straightforward food. Stop by and taste it for yourself.
We have a kitchen break between 2:30 PM and 5:00 PM. We accept dinner orders until 9:30 PM.

A restaurant with a bakery, or a bakery with a restaurant? Here, one blends into the other. Our chefs work with our bread, and our bakers in turn borrow unusual ingredients. Drop by for a crusty loaf, sweet and savoury pastries, and whipped butter.
